About the Program

What is the NIHB Program?

The Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program is a federal program administered by Indigenous Services Canada. It covers a range of health benefits for eligible First Nations and Inuit people, including dental care that is not covered by other insurance plans.

At Woodbend Dental, we are registered NIHB providers. Our team is experienced with the program, handles all pre-authorizations and direct billing, and ensures eligible patients receive the care they need without financial barriers.

Direct billing included. We submit all NIHB claims directly to Indigenous Services Canada. You walk in, receive care, and walk out — we handle the rest.
