Each appointment includes professional cleaning, fluoride varnish application, dental X-rays as appropriate, and a comprehensive exam to monitor tooth development, bite alignment, and oral hygiene habits.

FAQs

Common questions about children's dental cleanings & exams

How often should children have cleanings?
+
Most children benefit from cleanings every 6 months. Higher-risk children may need more frequent visits, which we'll recommend after assessment.
My child is afraid. How do you handle that?
+
We're very experienced with anxious children. We use distraction, explanation, and never rush. For very anxious children, nitrous oxide sedation is available to help them stay calm and comfortable.
At what age do children need X-rays?
+
We typically begin taking X-rays once baby molars are touching (around age 3–5), and periodically thereafter based on individual risk factors.
